We are family owned and operated and understand the importance of feeling confident that your investment is in safe hands. We’ll help you explore a few options below. If you have a quick question, don’t hesitate to reach out, we’d love to help!

Tankless Water Heater

Tankless or demand-type water heaters heat water directly without the use of a storage tank. This type of water heater is designed to provide an adequate supply of hot water without running out when adequately sized. Using up to 34% less energy for water heating which is roughly 20 percent of your home’s energy usage, will save you more than spare change on your energy costs!

Although there’s a greater initial investment with a tankless water heater than conventional storage water heaters, their life expectancy averages 20 years and they have lower operating and energy costs. The amount of long-term savings makes it a worthwhile investment. It also allows you to use multiple water sources at the same time, meaning you can enjoy that nice long, hot bath while someone else does the dishes. Everyone wins! You’re welcome to research this yourself, but if you’d rather ask a quick question and start saving, reach out to our team.

Conventional Storage Water Heater

Conventional storage water heaters have a reservoir (storage tank) of hot water which is adequate for everyday use. However, there are some limitations. First, if this is the best option for you, don’t get discouraged. Replacing a conventional with a newer conventional, ENERGY STAR certified water heater will save you money and a headache in the event your current one gives out on you. There are other models that offer greater savings and benefits, but these tanks have been reliably providing us water for decades.

The most common inconvenience is having to wait for the tank to refill and heat up. This usually means running out of water during a shower or bath, or not being able to take a shower and run the dishwasher at the same time. There are also many rebate programs available that support your replacement. Be sure to talk to our team about these. All-in-all, you will save money on your utility bill and there’s a good chance you’ll save on the purchase via rebates. Reach out to our team, we’re here to help you make the best decision for you and your home.

Hybrid Water Heater

Save Money & Energy with Peace of Mind

TPU (Tacoma Public Utilities) says that standard electric water heaters are the second largest energy user in your home. Replacing your electric water heater with a hybrid version can save you a lot of money and lower your utility bill — about $350 each year, which equals $3,500 over the life of the water heater.

There are many options, but a hybrid water heater has a lot of benefits in addition to cost savings. They use 60% less energy than a standard electric version. They are also designed to last and typically come with a 10-year limited warranty, opposed to the common 6-year limited warranty of the electric water heater. They also have a very easy to use digital display that makes it easy to manage the level of heat, etc. You’re welcome to research this yourself, but if you’d rather ask a quick question and start saving, reach out to our team.
